Rave Outfit Inspiration

Whether it is your first rave or you’ve been raving for years, sometimes picking out an outfit can be overwhelming. Personally, I think that getting all glammed up for a rave is half the fun. Part of that is probably due to my unhealthy shopping addiction, but I’ve learned how to shop on a budget. If you still need to figure out your next festie outfit, check out my three outfit ideas for inspiration. Some pieces might not be available anymore, but use this as inspiration to come up with your own ideas. Don’t be afraid to get creative- nothing is too much at a rave!

Dark Goddess

If you don’t want much color in your look, let your dark side out and try an all-black look.

I started with the Body Plunge Harness Set from Freedom Rave Wear. Originally, I didn’t think to include this, but I think in the end it made the outfit PERFECT. For the top, I chose the Nymph Cage Top from iHeartRaves, but since it’s not available anymore, you could also opt for any black bralette that you already have or even a black swimsuit top. My bottoms were custom made, although, you can find black bottoms fairly easily. I chose the booty short cut because they flatter my body shape, but high waisted black bottoms would also be a great choice! I wore thigh-high black socks to add to the look, and you can find these here. To finish the look, I used a pair of high top all weather Vans.

Holo Hottie

Out of all of the outfits I came up with, this one was my favorite. Holographic anything is a huge trend in rave fashion right now, so this look is perfect for basically any event.

The Freedom Rave Wear Baelien sleeves are super cute and can pull an entire look together. I chose the Ocean Holo Crushin’ Velvet Baelien Sleeves and I’m obsessed with the holographic velvet finish. Then, I paired these with some high waisted Brazilian bottoms from the same collection but in the color Moonlight, which you can find here. I love that you can mix and match the colors from this collection and they still work brilliantly together. I didn’t want to overdo it with too much holo, so I went for a white top. The top I chose is the White Butterfly Halter Top from iHeartRaves. Additionally, I wanted to tie in more white to complete the look, so I added some white thigh high fishnets and my white YRU platforms. YRU doesn’t sell them anymore because I bought them on clearance, but any white shoes will suffice. I can’t remember where I bought these fishnets, but you can find a similar pair on Amazon here.

Simple and Sporty

For those of you who are on a budget, this look is the easiest to create with pieces that you already own. I wanted to show off more of a sporty look with this outfit.

The top that I used was just a simple black sports bra from Forever 21. They have a pretty good activewear section with cute sports bras like this one. You might even have one of your own already if you work out often. The good thing about wearing a sports bra to a rave is that you have more support for when you’re jumping and dancing around all night. I paired the sports bra with another pair of booty shorts, which I feel gives more of a sporty vibe than high waisted bottoms. My shorts are from the Final Sale section at Freedom Rave Wear, which is an awesome place to look for discounted one-of-a-kind items. Finally, I finished the look with some retro tube socks and Adidas. You could use any kind of sneakers for this look and it will accomplish the same vibe you’re going for.

To make this outfit look a little more rave-y, you can add face gems and glitter!

I hope some of these outfits gave you some inspiration for creating your next festie outfit! I would love to see your takes on these outfits, so tag me in your photos on Instagram (@makennanoelle_). Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
